Raleigh, NC-- Environment North Carolina today announced its support for Congressman Heath Shuler in his re-election bid, noting the leading role he played in his first term in office in preserving Western North Carolina and strong overall environmental voting record.
“Re-electing Heath Shuler is critical to building a greater pro-environment majority in Congress,” said Elizabeth Ouzts, Director of Environment North Carolina.
In his first term, Shuler co-sponsored the Safe Climate Act, the gold standard in the House of Representatives for preventing the worst impacts of global warming.
