Raleigh, NC-- Environment North Carolina today announced its support for Congressman Heath Shuler in his re-election bid, noting the leading role he played in his first term in office in preserving Western North Carolina and strong overall environmental voting record.

In his first term, Shuler co-sponsored the Safe Climate Act, the gold standard in the House of Representatives for preventing the worst impacts of global warming.
