The Environmental Conservation Organization is circulating a petition
asking for a moratorium on any new large developments in Henderson
County.
ECO wants the board of commissioners to enact a moratorium
until after they pass a land development code, which is expected
sometime this year.
Residents can pick up a petition to sign, and help circulate,
from the ECO office, 121 W. Third Ave., Second floor, or print one from
ECO's Web site at www.eco-nc.org.
Petitions are available to sign downtown on Main Street at
Touchstone Gallery, Diving Stained Glass, Gypsy Heart and Narnia Studio
