North Carolina is home to beautiful rivers, lakes and streams. These waters are where we fish, swim and boat. They're also where many of us get our drinking water. But our waters are threatened. Environment North Carolina is working to protect our rivers and lakes from polluted runoff—the largest source of water pollution in the state. We also work to safeguard our waters against other dangers, including factory farm pollution and toxic leaks and spills.
