The Clean Cars Program will curb rising levels of global warming pollution from passenger cars and trucks.  What's more, requiring more fuel efficient vehicles will save consumers money on gasoline.  Fourteen states have already adopted clean cars programs.  It is time for North Carolina to join them.

More than a month into the General Assembly's short session, and no action has been taken on Clean Cars.  Take a moment to call your legislator and let her know you support the Clean Cars Program.

Here is sample message:  "Hi, my name is _______ and I live in ______.   The stakes are high for North Carolina when it comes to global warming and it is time for our state to take action.  The Clean Cars Program will curb rising levels of global warming pollution and save consumers money on gas.  This session, please support taking the first step toward adopting the Clean Cars Program in North Carolina, H 2526/S 1871."
