When it comes to global warming, the stakes are high for North Carolina. We are the third most vulnerable state in the nation to rising sea levels. Warmer temperatures are predicted to bring longer periods of drought, punctuated by more intense hurricanes and rainstorms.

The Clean Cars Program will curb rising levels of global warming pollution from passenger cars and trucks.  What’s more, requiring more efficient vehicles will save consumers money on gasoline. Fourteen states have already adopted clean cars programs.  It’s time for North Carolina to join them.
