The Tar Heel state has enormous untapped power. Clean sources of energy -- including the sun and the wind -- can cut our dependence on dirty forms of energy and create new jobs.

But a bill pending in the state Senate would ban all major wind power projects in Western North Carolina.

Ask your legislator not to ban wind turbines in our mountains.

Instead, restore Senate Bill 1068 to its original form, creating a permitting process to ensure that all community-supported wind projects —- from the mountains to the coast -- are built where they don't harm wildlife or the environment, and can create clean power and green jobs.
