"The Horsepasture River, located in western Transylvania County is one of the most pristine waterways in the state.  Known for its spectacular waterfalls, portions of the river have already been classified as a State Natural and Scenic River and a National Wild and Scenic River.

Unfortunately, development in the watershed is increasing and eventually the Horsepasture River will be impacted.

To ensure the Horespasture River is protected, I support reclassifying the river as an Outstanding Resource Water."
