The lake also provides drinking water 120,000 Triangle residents, and helps prevent floods for communities downstream.

State officials have approved a plan to protect and restore Jordan Lake, but opponents are sure to urge the General Assembly to overturn it. Send an email to your state legislators to let them know you support protecting Jordan Lake.

Letter	Dear Legislator: In 2005, the General Assembly wisely adopted the Drinking Water Reservoir Protection Act, Senate Bill 981, to protect Jordan Lake, Falls Lake, and other drinking water reservoirs across the state.
