Ask officials for no more mercury

A recent Supreme Court ruling is requiring the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to strengthen its rules limiting emissions of mercury, the potent neurotoxin that primarily comes from coal-fired power plants.

Ask North Carolina officials to strengthen their rules in light of the court ruling, and to re-do their permit for a new power plant at Duke Power's Cliffside station, west of Charlotte.
