Meet an Action Corps Member

Meet Action Corps member Courtney Abrams.  Originally from Greensboro, Courtney is a senior at Wake Forest University.

"During my time working with the Environment North Carolina Action Corps, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in a lot of fun and meaningful campaign work that not only lets me work on issues that I care about most, but that I also know makes a difference in North Carolina’s environment.  With the Action Corps I’ve lobbied my legislators on a number of issues, including protecting North Carolina’s land from overdevelopment and ensuring that the state has clean drinking water.  With organized efforts like the Action Corps Lobby Days, Environment North Carolina and its members are able to demonstrate public support through one-on-one meetings with legislators.

As a result of being involved with the Environment North Carolina Action Corps, I feel more connected to the work that is being done to protect North Carolina’s environment while knowing I am having an impact at the same time."
